Construction begins July 17, 2023
With the ongoing construction of Ecole Claudette-et-Denis Tardif, the south trail in Florian Park will be temporarily closed.
The south trail will be rebuilt as part of the school and school site construction.
Please see the Florian Park Trail Map for open trails during the school site construction.
Florian Park, located west of Regency Drive and south of Foxboro Drive has been designated as a future school site since 1991. On March 16, 2021, Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord and the Alberta government announced École Claudette-et-Denis-Tardif has been approved for a replacement (K-12 Francophone) school in the Foxboro area in Sherwood Park.
Upon completion, the school will be able to accommodate up to 420 students in grades K to 12. The school will be part of The Greater North Central Francophone Education Region. École Claudette-et-Denis-Tardif is currently located in Sherwood Park in a starter school composed of modular units, meant to be a temporary solution until a permanent school is built.
The school and provincial government anticipate construction to begin in August 2023 with completion in September 2025. Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord has committed to working closely with the provincial government and Strathcona County to plan for the new school.

Traffic safety study
In response to existing traffic concerns, and in preparation for the new school, we are looking for resident input on current and future traffic safety concerns in Foxboro and area.
Updated information will be posted on this website, as it becomes available.
