Mayor delivering State of the County update

The community is invited to join Mayor Rod Frank and Council for an update about the current priorities and future vision for Strathcona County.

Mayor Frank will be delivering the State of the County update during the Chamber of Commerce State of the County event, which includes a lunch, on April 17 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available from the Chamber of Commerce. Visit sherwoodparkchamber.com/events for more information.

For those unable to attend the Chamber of Commerce event, an additional State of the County community event will take place on April 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Community Centre’s Agora at 2001 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park. This free event features the same presentation by Mayor Frank followed by an opportunity to chat with Council members and County staff. Light refreshments will be provided. Register to attend at strathcona.ca/StateofCounty2024.

“Strathcona County’s success is achieved through a time-tested formula of municipal excellence built on sustainable finances,” says Mayor Rod Frank. “The County, however, has not been immune to era-defining difficulties that have also impacted our residents; including inflation, gas and electricity increases and high interest rates.

The State of the County is an opportunity for Council to report back to the community on current successes, as well as plans for addressing the variety of, and sometimes competing, needs in our community. On behalf of Council, I invite the community to attend the State of the County as we share how we are moving our community forward with a purposeful plan.”
