We're getting further into Spring

Spring is in full swing and there’s exciting things on the horizon as the weather gets warmer outside. Take a look at a few suggestions for how to spend this upcoming long weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County.

Greenhouses are opening this month!

There are several seasonal greenhouses that are opening over the next couple weeks as we get further into spring. Check them out on their opening days and get ready to get your hands dirty planting.

Warmer weather means that patio season is coming back

There are a ton of great patios to check out in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County. So many, in fact, that we made a map of all of them and are regularly updating to show new ones! Find the map on the county website here.

Hop on your bike and go for a ride

Did you know that we have hundred of kilometres of trails here in Strathcona County, along with bike and skate parks to hit some sick tricks? Take a look at the cycle map on the county website and decide on which route you’re going to take this weekend.

Try something new!

There’s a new event coming to Sherwood Park next weekend – Chocofest! This chocolate tasting extravaganza will showcase products and tastings of chocolate sourced from around the world. This is the only chocolate festival in Western Canada, so if you have a sweet tooth, be sure to get your tickets now.
