With an Arc card users have monthly fare caps. With caps users won't pay more than a maximum each month for either commuter or local service based on their profile type. We suggest keeping at least a $1 to $2 balance in your Arc purse to avoid seeing either a low balance warning (yellow) or a deny travel warning (red) near the end of each month.
Reduced monthly caps are only available for riders that register their Arc cards. To register and apply for an age or student based concession profile go on-line to myArc.ca. Subsidy profiles are only available for approved residents and they must visit the Bethel Transit Terminal to register.
Children 12 years of age and under ride free when accompanied by a fare paying passenger.

Transfers
Sometimes your trip may require a transfer between different buses or services (LRT). Strathcona County Transit works with our regional partners in Edmonton and St. Albert to help you reach your destination.
Your transfer fee will depend on the type of fare media you are using and where you are traveling. Your transfer fee is paid in cash to the operator once you board the transferring bus. Please use the charts below to determine your transfer fee, and remember to request a paper transfer as your proof of payment. If using an Arc card, the transfer fee is deducted directly from the Arc purse and determined by the transfer rules between agencies. If using an Arc ticket, transferability is based on the validity of the product loaded.
Effective February 1, 2024
