Skating 

Did you know that Strathcona County has over 20 spots to get outdoors and skate this winter? Find the complete list and check which rinks and trails are open.

Sledding 

What’s your favourite way to sled? On a toboggan? On a crazy carpet? See some great spots in the county to have some fun. Where are your favourites to head to? 

Sunridge Ski Area 

Time to shred that sick pow! If you’re a snowboarder, downhill skier, or even into winter tubing, head to our local ski area, Sunridge, and enjoy some great river valley views as you hit the slopes. 

Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing 

Have you tried snowshoeing or cross-country skiing before? Now’s your chance! The Strathcona Wilderness Centre has stuff you can rent to try it out. Maybe you’ll find your new favourite winter activity.  

Stay warm! 

This is Alberta, so we know there are still cold snaps coming our way this winter. If we’re in the middle of a cold snap, one of the best ways to celebrate it is by staying indoors. We’re lucky to have many things to do here in Strathcona County, from swimming to indoor sports to even an arcade.
