Fire advisory in effect
Effective immediately, Strathcona County is lifting the fire restriction and moving to a fire advisory. The recent rain and cooler temperatures have reduced the hazard risk. We ask that you remain cautious when having a fire.
Under a fire advisory, fire and fireworks permits are valid however they may be temporarily suspended based on the current conditions (wind speeds above 20 km/hour or gusting to 25 km/hr, temperature etc.). Please call the Burning Status Line at 780-464-8464 or text BURN to 587-340-3696 immediately before burning to see if it is allowed.
