Action tables focus on the strategic priorities shared in Strathcona County's Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Strategy and include a combination of CSWB Stewardship Committee members and other representatives from local organizations. Each action table works together to collectively respond to a specific need, opportunity, or challenge.

Food Insecurity Action Table

This action table is working to reduce the stigma around food insecurity and is building an interactive map to better connect community members to food resources in Strathcona County.

Action table members: Alberta Health Services, Sherwood Park - Strathcona County Primary Care Network, BGC Strathcona, Strathcona Food Bank, Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and Strathcona County.

Housing Affordability Action Table

This action table is working together to better educate community members about the value of having a range of housing options in Strathcona County.

Action table members: Brittany Lane Housing Cooperative, Heartland Housing Foundation, Davidson Creek Housing Cooperative, Northern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association, Robin Hood Association, Habitat for Humanity, Hope in Strathcona, and Sherwood Park and District Chamber of Commerce and Strathcona County.

Mental Health Action Table

The action table will begin meeting in Fall, 2024 and will focus on priorities such as building knowledge of available mental health services and resources in the community and addressing barriers to accessing services.

Action table members: BGC Strathcona County, Saffron Centre, Strathcona Food Bank, Sherwood Care, Winder Inclusive Communities Service, Elk Island Catholic Schools, Strathcona County Next Gen, Sherwood Park - Strathcona County Primary Care Network, Sherwood Park Alliance Church, and Strathcona County.

Extreme Weather Response Action Table

This action table brings together community partners to explore supports for people experiencing housing insecurity during extreme weather conditions. 

Action table members: Strathcona County Library, Strathcona Food Bank, Elk Island Catholic Schools and Strathcona County.
