Trail closure - November 25 update
Please note that Strathcona Wilderness Centre trails are currently CLOSED for walking.
- Staff have started packing the recent snowfall. Skate skiing is expected to be open to the public by mid-week.
- There is currently no track on the trails. Track setting will begin once the packed snow depth reaches a minimum of 10 cm.
- Rental equipment is not yet available. Check back for updates.

- Regular operating hours are daily from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- All trails are open for walking from April to November.
- Please leave your pets at home.
- Walkers and dogs on leash are welcomed to enjoy these natural area trails:
- Beaver Hills Biodiversity Trail on Range Road 211Â has a beautiful trail with views of the moraine.Â
- Explore the top of the North Saskatchewan River Valley at the Riverside Nature Trail.Â
- Explore the Old Edmonton Trail and a 3 km walking trail at the Sherwood Park Natural Area.Â
- Looking for cycling trails? Explore more than 80 km of bike trails at the Cooking Lake Blackfoot provincial recreation area. Drive south on Range Road 195 off Hwy 16 to the Blackfoot Lake staging area.
- Strathcona County gift cards are available and can be used to purchase 2024-2025Â season passes and programs.

- Subscribe to the ski bulletin for updates throughout the ski season including information on trail opening and conditions.
- Register now for spring and summer programs and summer day camps.
- Book the Lodge and campsite now. Bookings can be made up to a year in advance for overnight bookings.Â
