Weekend itineraries: pre-Canada Day weekend
Food trucks, golfing and chocolate to wrap a great day up
Canada Day is starting early with a walk-up food truck event taking place at Festival Place from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. There will be four different food trucks to choose from to get your fill of tacos, pierogis, hamburgers, or mini donuts. Something for everyone! Make sure to look at strathcona.ca/canadaday to see everything planned to celebrate our nation’s birthday.
Now that Broadmoor Public Golf Course is open again, you can shake off the cobwebs and practice your chipping again with a round at the 18-hole course found in the heart of Sherwood Park. Don’t worry if the weather isn’t cooperating, you can also golf indoors at either the The Golf Den or Evolution Golf. Their simulators are sure to help you take a stroke or two off and have a fun afternoon or evening with friends or family.
Don’t forget to make a trip to JACEK Chocolate Couture to try their s’more and s’moramel bars! These delicious chocolate bars are perfect to share with the family (or to keep to yourself!) while you’re sitting around a campfire, or as you tune in to watch the free online concert series which is part of the regional Canada Day virtual celebration.
