Weekend itineraries: air tour, shopping, and eating
A recipe for a great weekend
This weekend in Strathcona County is looking like it’s going to be an exciting one!
Tomorrow morning, you will have the opportunity to watch a fly over taking place at the Warren Thomas Aerodrome in Josephburg as private and industry aircraft are celebrating the local aviation community. The flying group will be comprised of air racers, helicopters, float planes, and many more. You don’t want to miss out on this event, so make sure to be in the vicinity of Josephburg at noon.
While we know that it’s still summer, the school year is going to be starting soon! If your children are in need of back to school clothes, Max & Maude is an excellent choice. Started by two sisters born and raised in Sherwood Park, this store is the epitome of shopping local. Stop in and help support our local economy and our local entrepreneurs.
Finish the weekend off with dinner at one of the most popular restaurants in Sherwood Park, La Patrona. This restaurant’s beginning was in a food truck, but they made the decision to open a brick and mortar location and haven’t looked back since. You can still pick up from their food truck, Casa12doce if you'd prefer. They take part in the weekly Food Truck Friday event which is taking place at Emerald Hills Park from 4:30-7:30 TODAY
Enjoy the weekend in Strathcona County!
