Weekend itineraries: summer wrap up
Last long weekend of the summer
This is the last weekend that the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is open for the year! With more than 40 buildings which have been researched, restored, and furnished to an early 20th century appearance, this is a terrific place to learn about early Ukrainian settlement in central Alberta. Due to COVID, there are a number of restrictions in place in order to keep you and your family safe; you can read them here.Â
If you’re looking for a breakfast option to pick up on your way to the Ukrainian Village, the Great Canadian Bagel has a terrific breakfast and lunch menu. With more than 20 years of experience slinging bagels, you can’t go wrong supporting this local business. Their bagels are made from scratch every day and are waiting for you to try them out. Support local this weekend!
With school starting this past week, you might have a bit of shopping to do. Luckily your back to school needs can all be found within Strathcona County, either at Emerald Hills Centre or the Sherwood Park Mall. Both areas have a wide array of stores for your clothing needs with plenty of options to pick up everything on the school supply list. Emerald Hills and the Sherwood Park Mall are the right choice for all your retail needs, check them out this weekend.Â
Enjoy the weekend in Strathcona County!
