Weekend itineraries: enjoying a mild fall
Welcome to November
Time has been ticking on and suddenly we’re in November. Don’t worry, even with the weather looking like it’s going to get cooler out there’s still lots to do in Strathcona County.
With the mild fall we’ve been having, this could be the last weekend to enjoy spending time outside without having to completely bundle up. Spend time at the Riverside Nature Trail and enjoy a 5.5 kilometer walk alongside the North Saskatchewan River. Constructed in partnership with the River Valley Alliance, this is a great way to get outside and enjoy the weekend.
If you have already made the change to hibernating inside until the spring then make sure to check out the Sherwood Park Bookworm. This locally owned, independent used bookstore offers a wide range of genres and pride themselves on making sure your visit is relaxing and enjoyable. Stop by to build up your book stack before the cold weather really sets in and you don’t want to leave the house 😉. You can find them on Facebook here.
A popular favourite in Strathcona County is Headquarters Restaurant and Bar. This locally owned eatery offers homemade food with homestyle cooking. With an extensive menu with a wide range of options, you’re sure to find something that will hit the spot. If you prefer to take out, you can take advantage of that option with curbside pick up available.
Enjoy the weekend in Strathcona County!
