Weekend itineraries: shopping in Strathcona County

It’s time to shred some snow this weekend – toboggan style! With eight toboggan hills currently open, this is a perfect way to spend time outdoors this weekend. Make sure to maintain 2 meters physical distance from other sledders and follow Alberta Health services gathering restrictions. Also, please keep in mind that toboggan hills near ponds are currently closed due to unsafe ice. You can find out which hills are open and ready for your sleds here.

Gregg Mediterranean Restaurant has been part of this community for years, and their Mediterranean cuisine has long been a favourite. Last holiday season, they generously provided about 90 meals to people in need, and they are doing the same thing this season. It’s Black Friday today, but as we head into the holiday season, try and make an effort to shop local for this year’s gift. You can start this weekend at Wizard Comics and Collectables, a small business found in the heart of Sherwood Park. This comics and collectibles store is in its 15th year of business, so it’s no wonder they’re a popular choice for fantasy games such as Dungeons and Dragons and card games like Magic the Gathering.
