Weekend itineraries: Canada Day is here
Celebrate Canada Day
There are plenty of festivities going on across Sherwood Park and Strathcona County all day long. Start the day with a pancake breakfast, play some disc golf, try your hand at a ninja obstacle course, support local food trucks at the Food Truck Rally, and then end the day with fireworks. There’s plenty to do for everyone of all ages, all day long!
One of the newest spots to open in Sherwood Park is Everyday Food Co. Head over to this deli/bakery and enjoy supporting local while enjoying food made in-house with local ingredients. There’s something here to satisfy everyone’s palate, from bagels to breakfast sandwiches and cookies to cinnamon buns. Now open in Brentwood Boulevard in the old Hendrickson Bagels location.
School’s out for summer! Are your kids looking for something to do? Check out the family-owned Village Toy Box. They specialize in wooden and educational toys for kids, but they also have a program to rent toys. Subscribe to the Toy Share to receive access to their toy library, and your kids can play with the toys for a month before swapping for new ones! A great initiative from a local store in Sherwood Park which is worth checking out this weekend.
