Weekend itineraries: a great weekend to support local

Wholly Handmade is taking place this weekend at the Agora Community Hall at 401 Festival Lane. This craft market is a great way to support local artisans while getting to see the talent that Strathcona County artists have. It’s also a great way to get started on your holiday shopping so that you aren’t scrambling at the end of the year. This event is taking place both Saturday and Sunday, so don’t miss out!

Take out sushi

While you’re at the Agora checking out the craft market, it’s just a small walk across the street to Yoshi Japanese. Found in the strip mall at Brentwood Boulevard, this is one of the places in Sherwood Park to roll up your sleeves and pull out some chopsticks. From sushi to sashimi to maki, you can get your seafood fix here, plus other Japanese style dishes.

Woman relaxing with tea

The closer we get to winter, the bigger the want for hot drinks. T. Kettle opened in Sherwood Park Mall last year and is a great option for loose-leaf tea fans. It’s easier to embrace cold weather when you know there’s a hot drink waiting to warm you up, so make sure to stock up on a variety of flavours today. Supporting stores found in Strathcona County helps to build the local economy and improve the economy. Make the choice to shop at the retail we have in our community and support local this weekend!
