Weekend itineraries: get outdoors
Celebrate the weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County
There’s a new activity to try out for FREE in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County. Bird watching kits are now available to be signed out from a few locations. These kits have everything you need to try out a new activity, and who knows, maybe it will turn into a new hobby! Kits can be signed out for a week at the Strathcona County Library and Bookmobile or for daily use from the Kinsmen Leisure Centre and the Strathcona Wilderness Centre.
This weekend is a great time to try out a new restaurant in Strathcona County. Have you tried Golden Capital Restaurant in Sherwood Park? This restaurant has a range of Chinese food options and Cantonese and Vietnamese dishes. Their sign is hard to miss as you’re driving along Wye Road, and their location in Sherwood Centre has plenty of parking available. Keep this family-owned restaurant in mind if you choose to eat out or pick up takeaway this weekend.
This is the 10th year that Revolution Boutique has been in business! This clothing store is a great way to keep up to date on world fashion since they carry clothing from Italy, Denmark, Montreal and Los Angeles. This weekend is an excellent time to stop in and visit them as it looks like they’re having a sale. Don’t miss out on supporting a local business this weekend, and stop by to see what catches your eye.
Please ensure that you are adhering to all public health mandates in place, including wearing a mask and physical distancing. Be ready to show your vaccination status, medical exemption or a negative, privately-paid COVID-19 test as part of the Restriction Exemption Program.
