Weekend itineraries: it's May Long

The Ukrainian Cultural Village is opening for the season this weekend, and if that isn’t enough to entice you into visiting, they’re celebrating the season with a Celebration of Dance! Dance groups from across Alberta will be taking part in new and traditional dances on Monday – a great way to spend the holiday. Enjoy learning about Alberta’s connection with Ukraine at the open-air museum and take in the live performances at the Band Shell Stage. Lawn chairs are encouraged if you are watching the performances.

May Long weekend means that we’re officially in patio season! To go along with the popularity of our restaurant map, we’ve put together a patio map. Let us challenge you to the first official patio tour of Strathcona County. Using our map, try and visit all the patios in our community by the end of the summer and win bragging rights. This is a great weekend to start the tour and support our local restaurants. Find the map on our food and drink page here.
