Weekend itineraries: play ball!

This is a great weekend to get your ball gloves ready; the Edmonton Prospects are playing their season at Centennial Park, and the first home game of the season is on Tuesday! Head over there to watch them take on the Sylvan Lake Gulls at 7:05 p.m. and enjoy watching some collegiate baseball right here in Sherwood Park. If Tuesday doesn’t work out, they have a couple of home games towards the end of next week and into the weekend for you to enjoy. Check the schedule and buy your tickets online.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat this weekend (or anytime), then it’s time you check out Sweet Gi’s. They have a bakery open in Strathcona County where you can stop by and pick up some fresh baking to soothe that sweet tooth. They have an excellent space for hosting classes and parties and are hosting a class on Saturday! Parents and children are welcome to join in and create a delicious cake that looks like a pizza. It’s (probably) safe to say that the warm weather is here to stay! This weekend is a great time to take a bike ride on some of our trails in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County.
