Weekend itineraries: must do activities
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County
Calling all pinball and arcade game fans – Canada’s largest expo is coming to town! YEGPin is taking place at Millennium Place from Thursday to Sunday next week. This family-friendly event is a unique way to spend a few hours. Don’t worry about bringing a pocketful of coins – gameplay is included with your admission.
There’s a new fried chicken place to check out in Sherwood Park. Oh! Johny’s recently opened in Broadmoor Boulevard and is an excellent option for supporting a local restaurant. They cook your order on ordering and give you the option of original or hot and spicy seasoning. Make sure to stop by and try some this weekend.
Summer temperatures have arrived, which means one thing …. It’s ice cream time! The Ice Cream Shack just off Broadmoor Boulevard and Athabascan Ave is open and ready to get scooping.  The shack is open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day, but check their social media for updates in case of bad weather. With the hot temperature we’re expecting today, head over and check them out this evening!
