Weekend itineraries: May Long is here!
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County
The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is opening for the season this weekend! If that isn’t enough to entice you into visiting, they’re celebrating the season with a Celebration of Dance. Dance groups from across Alberta will participate in new and traditional dances on Victoria Day (Monday) – a great way to spend the holiday. Enjoy learning about Alberta's connection with Ukraine at the open-air museum and take in live performances at the Band Shell Stage. Lawn chairs are encouraged if you are watching the performances.
Sherwood Park’s second brewery is opening this weekend! Manual Labour Beer is having its grand opening on Saturday, and everyone’s invited to join in. They have a full line-up of beer, along with a cider, ready to help quench your thirst. So head to Portage Close this long weekend to help welcome this new locally-owned business!
May long weekend also means that BBQ season is in full swing. If you aren’t set up for the grilling season, this weekend is the perfect time to do so. You Need A BBQ is a great local option for people looking for premium grills, accessories, and seasonings - over 200!
