Weekend itineraires: get outta town

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Weekend itineraires: get outta town

Looking for an unforgettable spot to spend this weekend at? Half Moon Lake Resort is only a 20-minute drive from Sherwood Park and has a ton of great things to do. Take advantage of their day-use rate to try out their beach sports, and water sports (kayaks and paddleboards!) along with other play areas. They also have new glamping options opening later this year, so keep an eye on their social media. Their new heated, outdoor pool is opening this summer as well - a must-see!

   Nonnie's Grill

While you’re out in the county this weekend, you might want to check out Nonnie’s Grill and Artisan Shop – not that you ever need an excuse to head out to Cooking Lake! They have a great menu with a ton of specials, including wing Wednesday and Saturday, and pizza friday that you don’t want to miss out on. Their cinnamon buns are worth the trip alone to check them out.

A couple touring Barr Estate Winery

Did you know we have a winery in Strathcona County? Barr Estate Winery is right on the doorstep of Sherwood Park and is a great, unique place to check out. They offer winery tours which include samples, and a stroll around their sheep and fruit farm. These tours are by appointment only, so check out their website to book yours. They're participating in Alberta Open Farm Days next month, so keep that in mind!
