Weekend itineraries: It's Parks Day!

Elk Island National Park is on the doorstep of the county, as well as Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Park. We also have the Strathcona Science Park, and a ton of local parks as well. Check out the link below to find out more to check out this weekend and over the summer months.

While you’re out enjoying the parks this weekend, make sure to stay fueled and hydrated at That Bar B Q Place. They’re a local southern-style smokehouse that’s been around for ten years – and they offer takeout! Take your beef brisket, pulled pork, turkey breast, or all three along with you and enjoy some delicious food as a picnic.

If you decide to head to Elk Island National Park to celebrate Park Day, then make sure to head to Astotin Lake to check out Elk Island Paddle Sports Rental.
