Weekend itineraries: Trail Days in South Cooking Lake
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County
Trail Days takes place on Saturday and has a complete list of activities to keep you busy. Things start with a pancake breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and a parade at 11:00 a.m. There’s a market that lasts all day until 4:00 p.m. and a car show to check out. Don’t forget to visit the petting zoo to see all the animal cuties. Check out the South Cooking Lake Community League website for more information.
While at South Cooking Lake, stop by the recently opened Cooking Lake Bistro for a bite to eat. They opened their doors at the end of July and have been serving breakfast, lunch, and supper since! They’re across the street from Roundabouts, so add them to your list when you’re out enjoying a rural weekend.
Did you think anything else couldn’t be happening in South Cooking Lake? Well, you would be wrong because there’s also the South Cooking Lake Weekly Farmers Market that takes place. Taking place every Thursday until September 12, this market is a great place to buy locally-made items from local producers. Stop by the South Cooking Lake Hall on a Thursday between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to support local and rural!
