Weekend itineraries: more great events!

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Weekend itineraries: more great events!

Head out to Pointe-aux-Pins Acres (where Bremner House is) and follow the signs for the new entrance location. There will be a lot to see as last year the Strathcona County Vintage Tractor Association had over a hundred pulls take place over the weekend, plus they have free kids activities, vendors, and antique farming equipment demonstrations. The show starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday for the lighter weight class and the heavier class starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Don’t miss out on this great agricultural event right here in Strathcona County!

A couple having dinner at Vicky's Bistro

If you’re heading to Wholly Handmade at the Community Centre this weekend (more on that later), Vicky's Bistro and Wine Bar is a great option to stop by for some food. This locally owned restaurant and wine bar has fused Mediterranean and Western cuisine and is an excellent option for lunch or dinner. They have a great patio to enjoy the end of August while we still have warm weather.

Wholly Handmade market inside the Community Centre Agora

After a few months away, Wholly Handmade is back at the Community Centre Agora this weekend! There will be over 125 artisans and crafters with their creations for sale. Everything is handmade, so it’s a great way to pick up some unique pieces. For a complete list of vendors, head to their Facebook page and start planning what you will buy. 😉
