Weekend itineraries: Fall is creeping in

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Weekend itineraries: Fall is creeping in

There’s some new public art to enjoy in Sherwood Park! Painted earlier this summer by two artists as part of Festival Place’s 30th anniversary, these murals are a must-see addition to Peace Park, just outside the theatre. Make sure you look at both sides of the sea can for each artist’s work. Next time you’re in the Community Centre, head towards County Hall and see the other new piece of art in the breezeway between the two buildings. Use the public art map and find other fantastic pieces of art to enjoy in our community.
Manual Labour and Kobachi collab
Manual Labour has partnered with another local restaurant to create the Kobachi Japanese Rice Lager entry for the “League of Extraordinary Lagers,” a passport-style competition that runs until October 8th between other Edmonton area breweries. Stop by the brewery to get your passport stamp for the competition. Psssssst… did you know Manual Labour also recently added Lore Pizza as a menu item in their taproom? Another great reason to visit Sherwood Park’s newest brewery this weekend!

Kid on a man's shoulders in a corn maze
Did you know there’s a corn maze in Strathcona County? Keato Meadow Corn Maze is found just outside of Fort Saskatchewan and is the perfect activity to get up to as we move into fall weather. Their maze is spread out over 12 acres, and they also have bouncy houses, lawn games, and a spot to get snacks. Keep an eye out for moonlight maze night later on in the season! Check out their social page for more information.
