Weekend itineraries: November is here!

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Weekend itineraries: November is here!

The Peppermint Stix Christmas Fair is taking place this weekend! On Saturday at the Ardrossan Rec Centre between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., you can start your holiday shopping by supporting local artisans. This market will be taking place three more times before the end of the year, so if you miss it this weekend, you have another chance. Check out the Queen of Heart's event page for a list of vendors and more information.

Enjoying a coffee at Gratitude Coffee

Happy one-year anniversary to Gratitude Coffee! They opened their doors here in Strathcona County last year on November 9th. This coffee shop celebrates other businesses by having a featured drip coffee (right now, it’s a roaster from Sweden) and pastry and sweets options from other local entrepreneurs in the area. If you haven’t visited them yet, stop by their location on Broadmoor Boulevard this weekend and wish them a happy birthday.

Shopping for Christmas decorations at Salisbury Greenhouse
The holidays are coming quickly, and there are plenty of ways to get in the spirit while supporting local businesses. Salisbury Greenhouse is having themed workshops like DIY gnomes and festive wreaths over the next few weeks. They also have started putting their display up, so make sure to stop by and browse through some new decorations (they’re having a sale this weekend!). Check out their website for workshop sign-up.

If you’re looking for other things to do this weekend, head to our tourism pages for more suggestions of ways to support local and find your adventure in Strathcona County.
