Weekend itineraries: holiday season is beginning
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County
The holiday season is getting closer and closer, which means it’s time for the annual Celebration of Lights! Taking place this Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can join in the fun with free holiday activities and games, holiday music, and, of course, the light show. You might even spot Santa and the Grinch hanging around. Click the link below for more information, including parking and food bank donations. Make sure to dress for the weather, as this is a primarily outdoor event.
Morning Brew 192 has released its holiday drinks for November and December. You can choose from a delicious lineup of seasonal drinks like cookies, coal and Christmas (cookies and cream hot chocolate), candy cane lane mocha (peppermint mocha), and more! If you don’t make it to their location at Hastings Lake before the end of the year, don’t worry. They have monthly specials every single month. Check out their social page for more information.
Another great reason to head out to Hasting Lake this weekend is that Hastings Lake Gardens has a Christmas Market on Saturday! This is the first time they’re having a Christmas Market, and it’s one you don’t want to miss out on. Grab a drink from Morning Brew 192 and wander the wonderland while shopping for handmade creations from local artisans. The best part is that it’s free admission and runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
