Weekend itineraries: Welcome to December

Head out to the southern part of Strathcona County on Saturday to celebrate Christmas in the Country. Following this link to find a listing of the nine participating locations - you’ll want to stop by each market to pick up everything from centrepieces to ornaments. Bring the kids, as you might just run into Santa along the way, and enjoy the fireworks at the end of the evening. Note: some vendors are only able to accept cash.

The exterior of Zigle

Happy birthday to ZIGLE! They opened their doors last December and have been serving authentic Korean bulgogi dishes ever since. Have you tried them yet? Their menu is full of mouth-watering dishes, including classic favourites with a Korean twist. This weekend or next is a great time to stop by and wish them a happy birthday.

Yarn at Statement Junkie

The cold temperatures have left, and the weather is warm again, but chances are the cold will be back. The warmer temperatures mean you still have time to get into a new hobby – knitting! Statement Junkie Yarn Co. is a great spot to pick up the supplies you need for a nice thick sweater or scarf or to check out other hobbies like crochet, macrame, or felting. Head over to their location to find a wide variety of colours and materials for any project you’re working on.
