Strathcona County is a Chapter Member of the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program. This program is for children and youth (ages 4 to 18) in need of funding assistance to access sport and recreation programs.
Would you like to apply for funding? The new process is to apply online directly with Canadian Tire Jumpstart, rather than through Strathcona County. This allows for greater flexibility for parents and guardians to apply at their convenience and work directly with Jumpstart.
The process is easy and completely confidential. Once on the Jumpstart website (link below), click the “Apply” tab, “I’m an Individual” and then “Apply”. Should you have any questions regarding the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program, please call the number below.

Community Organizations - safely returning to sport and play
The Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund has been created in response to COVID-19 to help sport and recreation organizations continue to deliver programming in 2020 and beyond. This fund will provide two streams of needs-based support to eligible organizations - programming support and operational support.
To be eligible for a Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund Grant, applicants must be qualified donees as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency. Additional eligibility requirements are available on Jumpstart's web page.
