12.26  RSO – Street Oriented Residential

Purpose

12.26(1)

To provide for low to medium density street-oriented residential development with vehicular access from a rear lane.

Subject to any fundamental use criteria for certain uses set out below, the permitted uses and the discretionary uses for this zone are listed in Table 12.26(A).

Fundamental Use Criteria

12.26(3)

The following uses shall only be considered in this zone if they meet the associated criteria below:

  1. (a) The maximum number of dwelling units per townhouse building shall be five.
  2. (b) Vehicular access to a dwelling shall be from a rear lane.

Despite anything else in this bylaw, the minimum number of parking spaces required for a dwelling with a total width of 6.10 m or less is one per dwelling unit.

Despite anything else in this bylaw, a residential sales centre within the RSO zone:

  1. (a) shall meet the setback requirements for a principal dwelling in the RSO zone; and
  2. (b) may be considered as a temporary use for a period of up to 10 years.
