5.14  Projecting sign regulations

5.14(1)

A projecting sign shall:

  1. (a) only be located on the primary building face;
  2. (b) not have a separation of more than 0.6 m between the sign and the primary building face to which it is attached;
  3. (c) not project more than 2.0 m from the building face to which it is attached or, 0.3 m from the road edge of the sidewalk, whichever is less;
  4. (d) have a maximum copy area of 2.23 m2 per side or 25% of the area of the primary building face, whichever is less;
  5. (e) have a minimum clearance of 2.5 m when measured from grade to the bottom of the sign’s structure;
  6. (f) not project over public property unless written approval is provided by the County; and
  7. (g) not project more than 0.3 m above the roofline or, the maximum allowable height of the building, whichever is less.
