Part 7 : Agricultural Zones

7.6  RS – Small Holdings

Purpose

7.6(1)

To provide for residential and agricultural uses on lots that are within an approved Conceptual Scheme or were zoned prior to adoption of this bylaw.

Subject to any fundamental use criteria for certain uses set out below, the permitted uses and the discretionary uses for this zone are listed in Table 7.6(A).

Fundamental Use Criteria

7.6(3)

The following uses shall only be considered in this zone if they meet the associated criteria below:

  1. (a) Bed and breakfast shall not exceed a maximum of four sleeping units.
  2. (b) Manufactured home (<20 feet wide) shall be limited to those approved prior to May 2012.
  3. (c) Agriculture, intensive horticulture, animal boarding facility and greenhouse shall only be considered on lots that:
    1. (i) gain access from a road other than an internal subdivision road; and
    2. (ii) are greater than 4.0 ha in size.
