There are several information booths and stations set up throughout Station 6. This is your opportunity to ask questions, find out what it is like to work here and try out some of the physical testing components that are required for the physical testing.

Information and panel session

Get details and ask questions on the application process, minimum qualifications
Location: Large Training Room

  • 10 a.m.
  • 11 a.m.
  • Panel discussion 12 noon
  • 1 p.m.
  • 2 p.m.

Physical testing

There are seven different stations located in the bay for participants to try:

  • Aerobic Endurance
  • Equipment Carry/Vehicle Extrication
  • Charged Hose Advance
  • Weighted Sled Pull
  • Forcible Entry Simulation
  • Victim Rescue
  • Ladder Climb

Location: Bays

Make sure to have your completed waiver with you and head over to the check in area to get fit for bunker gear and a brief safety talk. Waivers are in the Large Training Room. Let us know if you do not have steel-toe boots or leather work gloves. We have a limited supply of extras you can borrow.

Please be aware this is an active fire station. Follow all signs, do not cross any barriers and be aware of your surroundings.

Aptitude and medical preparation

Ask questions about the aptitude test, medical testing and get the opportunity to see the training mannequin.
Location: Small training room


Station tours

One of our staff will escort you around the Station and answer questions.
Location: meet in the Large Training Room. Tours will start after the info session is over.
