Job Description

This posting is for multiple hourly positions


Do you enjoy working with the public, having flexibility in your job and working with a team of results oriented people in a fun environment? As a Facility Attendant, you are responsible for preparing the facility for use by guests for variety of events and bookings while interacting with guests, staff and contractors in a positive and professional manner.


Responsibilities:
 


  • Prepare the facility for use by guests by ensuring the facility and surroundings are safe, clean and presentable 
  • Set-up to event specifications and take-down for rental clients
  • Monitor equipment and building conditions to ensure a safe and clean environment
  • Understand and carry out operational procedures for building emergencies, injury accidents, and room preparation
     


Qualifications and Skills:
 


  • Minimum of Grade 10 education, some related experience is preferred
  • Positive and professional attitude with strong communication skills in order to facilitate positive interactions with a diverse group of clients
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, and ability to manage and balance a variety of interests and objectives
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
     


Conditions of Employment:
 


  • Availability to work a variety of casual shifts including daytime, evenings or weekends. 
  • Ability and willingness to perform various types of continuous physical labour including lifting, squatting, standing, carrying, pushing, and pulling as required for setting up and taking down events.
