We are seeking an HR Technical Analyst to join our HR Operations Branch. As the technical expert supporting the Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management) Cloud modules, you will play a crucial role in configuring and optimizing HR systems. Your primary focus will be developing Fast Formulas, building visual components, and handling HCM Extracts to enhance system functionality and user experience.
The position will work closely with the Business Innovation & Communication (BIC) team, HR Systems team, functional teams, and developers to ensure the optimal configuration of Oracle HCM solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize Fast Formulas for payroll, benefits, compensation, absence management, and other HR functions
- Work closely with functional teams to gather requirements and implement scalable formulas
- Conduct end-to-end testing and validation to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Create intuitive and responsive user interfaces using Oracle Visual Builder to enhance modules like Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting
- Work with business users to improve system usability across HR modules
- Integrate real-time data using Oracle HCM Cloud APIs and web services
- Develop workflows and dynamic forms to automate HRS processes, improving efficiency in tasks like onboarding, time and absence and PPR
- Ensure Visual Builder applications are fast, responsive, and efficient, using best practices to optimize front-end performance and user interaction
- Regularly update and enhance Visual Builder applications, incorporating user feedback, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compatibility with new Oracle HCM releases
- Design, develop and maintain HDL templates for loading and updating large datasets
- Ensure data accuracy through validation rules and troubleshooting processes
- Automate and schedule data loads to maintain efficiency
- Create and configure custom reports using Oracle HCM Cloud’s reporting tools, such HCM Extracts, BI Publisher and OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) that are escalated from the HRS Reporting Analyst
- Partner with functional teams in HRS to understand reporting requirements, including key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards
- Automate the extraction of large volumes of data and establish secure, efficient processes for transferring extracted data to target systems
- Stay updated on new Oracle features and best practices, advise on process improvements and alternative solutions employed by other Oracle customers
- Review Oracle Quarterly Release notes and Cloud Connect forums for the latest insights
- Provide ongoing support to HR teams and business users
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field plus a minimum of 7 years related experience with ERP technology, middleware, development tools and programming language (SQL, PL/SQL. Java or similar) is required
- In depth knowledge of Cloud HCM modules
- In depth knowledge of OTBI, BI Publisher and HCM Extract development
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Architecture, standards and best practices is an asset
- Ability to manage detailed work within constant deadlines/time constraints, prioritize work based on sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and build relationships
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and influencing skills, the ability to communicate and adapt style to different audiences, provide recommendations, and influence stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, risk assessment and problem-solving skills which include quickly identifying core issues and making effective decisions Strong focus on continuous improvement ideas and initiatives to drive positive change, using technology
