This posting is for 2 full-time hourly positions up to 4 months
Strathcona County is seeking undergraduate students to work with Records and Information Management this summer. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in a future career in records, compliance, or information management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and delivering a thorough clean-up of electronic and physical records
- Complete logistical arrangements including communication and material preparation
- Assist in developing communication and clean-up strategies, including stakeholder engagement and liaising with other teams
- Participate in records management activities including records management software activities
- Compile background information, including gathering and synthesizing of relevant research and reports
- Complete administrative tasks such as audits, data entry, and report writing
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be enrolled or recently completed post-secondary education in records, information management, computer and/or library sciences
- Experience working with and understanding of the lifecycle of records
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team focus
- Familiarity and comfort using a records retention schedule to guide recommendations
- Responsible, reliable and able to work independently
