Municipal election

Strathcona County's next general municipal election will take place in October 2025, alongside the school board elections for Elk Island Public Schools and Elk Island Catholic Schools. Voters will cast ballots for their preferred candidates for Mayor, ward Councillors and public or Catholic School Trustees.

Important dates

  • Nomination day: Monday, September 22, 2025
  • Advance voting begins: Monday, October 6, 2025
  • Election day: Monday, October 20, 2025

  • Apply to work the election during the advance vote period or on election day. Applications will be accepted starting May 1.
