Integrity Commissioner

The Integrity Commissioner is an independent and impartial authority dedicated to upholding the ethical standards outlined in Strathcona County’s Council Code of Conduct Bylaw. This role oversees the complaint process and investigates potential breaches of conduct by Councillors.

The integrity commissioner is a quasi-judicial function independent from Strathcona County administration and Council.

 

Council ethical standards and responsibilities

Bylaw 28-2024 Council Code of Conduct establishes ethical standards and responsibilities for Councillors in Strathcona County. This bylaw includes a complaint system for reviewing and enforcing these standards.

If you have a concern or have witnessed conduct that may breach this code, you can file a formal complaint through the Integrity Commissioner.
