After the flames are extinguished is when a fire investigator’s work begins. They look for information and evidence to determine how and where the fire started.

Under the Safety Codes Act of Alberta, every fire that results in a dollar loss must be investigated as to the origin, cause and circumstances. Emergency Services has fire investigators on call 24 hours a day. The investigator is there for your protection and can provide valuable advice and assistance.
