Fire safety begins at home
The best way to fight a fire is to prevent one from starting in the first place. If a fire does start in your home, having plans in place beforehand will help keep you and your family safe.Â
Inside your home
- home fire escape plan
- kitchen safety
- bedroom safety
- basement safety
- electrical safety
- smoke alarms
- carbon monoxide
Outside your home
- fire pit safety
- barbecue safety
- outdoor burning (for rural residents)
- in your yard
- smoking
- cool your ashes before putting them in your cart
- fire hydrant in front of your property
- protect your property with FireSmart
