Residents lead over 130 community connection initiatives
In 2019, Strathcona County awarded a total of 133 grants to residents leading initiatives that promote a supported, safe and connected community. These grants were awarded through two streams, Community Change Grants and Community Connection Grants, and are guided by the Social Framework’s outcomes of affordability, access to programs and services, safety and connectedness and inclusion.

FREE farm vehicle inspections at Farm Safety Day
Farmers in Strathcona and Lamont County are invited to take part in a free, farm vehicle safety check at the Farm Safety Day on Friday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., outside of the Moyer Recreation Centre in Josephburg (#4-54569 Range Road 215).

Glen Allan road construction and traffic calming improvements underway this summer
Starting this week, residents can expect delays and detours as road improvements, sidewalk repairs and the implementation of traffic calming features will be underway in Glen Allan.
