Learn, create, experiment and inspire!

Strathcona County offers visual art programs and activities at Gallery@501 and Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre. Programs are open to everyone and include single classes or longer series taught by skilled and knowledgeable artists, makers and arts educators.

Gallery@501 programs take place in a fully equipped art studio next to the main gallery exhibition space. Choose from painting, drawing, needle felting, printmaking and other exciting art forms!

Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre offers a variety of beginner-friendly art and fine craft programs such as pottery at the Clay Hut, glass fusing at Studio One, fibre arts, and more at Smeltzer House. Our specialized studios welcome students of all ages to enjoy the art of making.
