Snow route parking ban declared

A snow route parking ban will go into effect on Friday, December 20 at 6 p.m. on all collector roads in Sherwood Park.

The parking ban applies to Priority 3 collector roads marked with permanent snow route signs. It does not include Priority 4 residential streets in Sherwood Park. Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from affected roads to allow for safe and efficient snow removal.

Crews will be working 24/7 to clear the snow, which will result in some nighttime noise. All snow routes are expected to be complete on December 23.

Parking is permitted after the snow has been removed. Officers are authorized to issue a $250 ticket and tow on any vehicle in violation of the parking ban.
