County continues operational planning for The Pointe while construction temporarily paused
Strathcona County continues its important work to develop Pointe-aux-Pins Acres, which represents a vital link to the importance of agriculture in the community. While an unstable construction market has required a purposeful pause in construction of Pointe-aux-Pins Acres, Administration continues its operational, services and event strategy, with a focus on bringing the Pointe’s vision to life.

Council approves updated Master Plan to guide rural road maintenance
Strathcona County Council has approved a new Sustainable Rural Road Master Plan to guide how all 1,300 kilometres of rural road are maintained and improved.

Free car seat inspection clinic on September 18
Residents are invited to attend a free car seat inspection and information clinic on Saturday, September 18, 2021. The free event, located at Ordze Transit Centre (970 Ordze Road, Sherwood Park) runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon; rain or shine.

Due to the provincial mandatory masking announcement on September 3, Strathcona County is reviewing our bylaw for regional alignment and direction. Please follow all Provincial restrictions.
At a special Council meeting on September 1, 2021, Strathcona County Council approved the Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw 53-2021 that requires the public to wear masks in all indoor public places and public vehicles including taxis, buses and rideshares. Due to the provincial mandatory masking announcement on September 3, Strathcona County is reviewing our bylaw for regional alignment and direction. Please follow all Provincial restrictions.
